How We Support Apprentices

Onyx Support is a specialist support organisation providing Non-Medical Help (NMH) to apprentices. We support apprentices with disabilities, long-term health conditions, mental health conditions, neurodivergence and Specific Learning Differences (SpLDs) to overcome barriers and succeed in both their workplace and training.

We work in partnership with apprentices, training providers and employers, delivering high-quality, flexible support across the UK. Our focus is on helping apprentices stay engaged, build confidence, and progress confidently and independently throughout their apprenticeship.

We support:

  • Apprentices across a wide range of sectors and training routes

  • Apprentices balancing workplace demands with study, coursework and assessments

  • Apprentices who need support with organisation, workload, focus, communication or wellbeing

  • Apprentices funded through Learner Support Fund (LSF) (where eligible)

  • Apprentices accessing employer-funded or privately funded support

We collaborate closely with:

  • Training provider learner support teams and apprenticeship coordinators

  • Employers, HR teams and line managers

  • Workplace mentors and coaches

  • Funding bodies and support coordinators

  • Relevant wellbeing and support services (where appropriate)
